lyrics
Let me tell you about my childhood so you can pity me
I’ll wear something tighter so you notice me
I’ll change my voice so you can mock me
I hope you can feel my manic state of mind
Look the other way
Did I catch your gaze?
Well who cares?
Let me powder my face so it’s less embarrassing
I’ll dumb down to build up your words
I’ll shut up so you can’t take me seriously
Now go take a piss on my double end rainbow
Doe-eyed deer
Did you catch me stutter ?
Well who cares?
Let me ditch my friends because you don’t like them
I’ll suck your dick so you don’t call me names
I’ll pierce my own heart so you don’t have to worry about breaking it
Now hand me that hammer and nail why don’t you dear?
Teardrop shaped hearts
Did you call me bitch ?
Well who cares ?
I walk alone at night to be your prey
I’ll stop boxing so there is no fight
I won’t call out for help so you can hurt me anyway you like
Now let’s sit in a gutter on a cold cold November night
White-eyed within fear
Did you raid my body ?
Well who gives a fuck ?
I go to school though he slips me drugs
I’m paying bills though he whispers slut shames in my head
Why can’t I exist without wearing an address ?
Because I’m a psycho bitch, so who cares what I say ?
I like this album, especially for the message that it brings that is really powerful and in line with what happened nowadays. The title and the whole album refers to the Black Lives Matter (red summer refers to the summer of 1919 where white supremacists committed a lot of homicide against black community in USA). The whole album speaks about this, with a lot of reference to historical events (e.g.: 20th August 1619 is the date when the first black slaves were deported in USA). losfastidios
